Dear Taekwondo community,

We are pleased to announce the 5th annual Stars & Stripes Taekwondo Championships
held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at South Valley Junior High School in Liberty, MO. Over the years the Stars & Stripes Taekwondo Championships has become known as acompetitive and organized event for both experienced Black Belts and grass root level players. As always, our goal is to provide a top quality event and a great experience for everyone involved!
In the fall of 2004, with the support of our students and a few close friends, we launched our first annual tournament. Held on September 11, 2004 three years to the day after the tragic 9/11 bombings on our country, it was decided that our tournament would be a patriotic tribute to the events that happened on 9/11/2001. Flag style awards, red and blue mats and banners, and from this the Stars & Stripes Taekwondo Championships was born. This year the 14-32 year old divisions of the 2008 Stars & Stripes Championships will be Sanctioned by Missouri
State Taekwondo Organization (MSTO) & the United States National Taekwondo Federation (USNTF) and will serve as an official qualifier for the USNTF National Team.
