“I was doubtful when I heard that Taekwondo would teach my child discipline, confidence, and self esteem…

But, now – she's a Straight A student”, confident, and Respectful.

Dear Parent,

I don't blame you. You are thinking, “how can Taekwondo and martial arts training teach wholesome values – and, success skills?” Well it can. Please let me tell you more.

My name is Master France Pruter. My husband and I are owners of one of the most successful martial arts schools in the Mid-West United States, Pruter's Ko's U.S. Martial. For over 20 years, I have been nurturing children like yours with character building tools found only in the martial arts. No other sport can match them.

Watch as your child increases in confidence, energy and spirit. Your child will become unstoppable in his quest for:

Greater academic achievement

Unshakable self respect

Increased strength and fitness, in both mind and body

You may be asking yourself, “and all this comes from kicking and punching?” Look at it this way. Your child's biggest challenge doesn't come from learning how to defend himself from the neighbor hood bully but from his own fears and self-doubt.

  • “I'm not as smart as Paul.”
  • “I wish I was as (pretty, tall, strong,) as Jill.”
  • “I don't understand what my teacher is saying.”
  • “Why does Roger keep picking on me?”
  • “Why am I not as popular as Emily?”

Martial Arts can help your child conquer the demons that they have in their day to day lives. Often times they don't even have the courage to tell you they have a problem, but we all remember what it was like to be a child. When your child uses the discipline of Taekwondo to conquer his fears, he has the power to transfer that discipline to all other areas of his life. I know of no other sport that does that better then Taekwondo.

But don't take my word for it, read what our students have to say.

I have been in Taekwondo for 3 years and during those three years I have learned a lot. Hear are just a few…….

  • My attitude has changed a lot
  • I have much more integrity
  • Taekwondo has helped my self-control
  • I've had better grades in school'
  • I have me a whole bunch of friends who encourage me to keep trying
  • I have learned that it's better not to use violence
  • I have more confidence in myself
  • I understand that I must practice to succeed
  • Taekwondo has kept me in good physical condition
  • It helps me to focus on tasks for school and at home

I have stayed with Taekwondo because I wanted to learn what it means to be a leader. It has not always been easy but Mrs. Pruter has encouraged me to stay with it. With each belt I have been given more responsibility in helping in class. I like working with the younger belts.

Taekwondo has given me the discipline to stay with things I have started, to always try my best, and be happy with who I am.

When I think about Taekwondo my first thought is respect. I have learned to respect my parents, my family, my instructors Mr. and Mrs. Pruter, my school teachers, my friends, and best of all myself.

I wish more people were in Taekwondo instead of doing drugs. When I get older I want to teach kids and adults. I want to be a master and I want to teach my kids. I think Taekwondo makes you healthy and strong and focused.
